MANJUARÍ

Cuervo y Sobrinos was founded in Havana in 1882, this Caribbean heritage meant they simply had to create an excellent diving watch. Inspired by the Manjuarí, Cuba’s indigenous and protected fish, this timepiece is designed for the gentleman adventurer and sportsman…… perfect for exploring ship wrecks and the night out afterwards.

Although Based on a Cuervo y Sobrinos classic and a true expression of the band’s heritage, this is a modern diving watch. The 43mm modular case is made up of three parts: a sapphire and titanium unidirectional diving bezel, a black rubber ring with “1882 HAVANA CUERVO Y SOBRINOS” written in relief and a stainless steel central body with “1882” engraved on the side next to 9 O’Clock.

The water resistance is 60 ATM or 1882 feet, a nod to the year of Cuervo y Sobrinos’ founding which of course was 1882. The screw-in crown is solid and sturdy, as it must be, it is easy to grip and sports an elegant “CyS” engraving. The back cover is screwed in and features an engraving of the Manjuarí fish in fine detail.

As a diving watch the the Robusto Manjuarí comes with a very comfortable rubber strap and deployant stainless steel buckle engraved with Cuervo y Sobrinos’ emblem.

The 38 hour power reserve and CYS 5102 automatic movement (ETA 2982 modified) mean the Manjuarí keeps excellent time. The watch ships with Cuervo y Sobrinos’ classic lacquer finished cedar wood cigar humidor box and a Cuervo y Sobrinos electronic watch winder that is perfect for travel.
